Guest reviewer Aaron took the PUMP! Scorpion Brief for a test drive to tell us what he thought. And he snapped us a few pics!
I’ve always loved PUMP! underwear and the Scorpion briefs are no disappointment! The cut is perfect and the waistband is soft and comfortable. The colour is so vibrant and the contrast between the black and red really make it pop! They are stylish yet playful, great for everyday wear but they’d also be perfect for a ‘special’ night in.
The cut around the bum
PUMP! waistbands normally stand out – the grey text on this pair could have been ‘louder’

Timoteo have taken a risk with their new Proton Parisian Brief, but has it paid off?
Over the past few years we’ve seen the jockbrief take of in a massive way – with the best of both cuts it resonates well with underwear lovers everywhere. This is a space that Timoteo and other designers have done exceptionally well in, but perhaps it’s time to mix things up a little.
While the jockbrief is a brief with jockstrap qualities (“OMG, the ass is missing!” as a friend once put it), the Parisian Brief goes the other way, being more akin to a jockstrap with brief qualities.
Looking at the Parisian Brief, you immediately notice something is missing – the side fabric that covers your leg between the pouch and back is absent. This creates a line very similar to a traditional jockstrap – in fact, from a front on perspective you’d be forgiven for mistaking it is a jockstrap.
The pouch is quintessential jockstrap, wrapping around your man bits with a thick, quality fabric to provide the level of support you would expect from a sports jock. Short of eroticwear or going commando, the freedom of movement this design gives you is unparalleled.
Where you’d expect open air (or your butt) between the rear straps on a jockstrap, you have fabric in this case. The cut of the back means that all butts – flat or bubbly – look fantastic in this brief.
While this brief sits low on the hips and is overall on the minimalist side, it maintains it’s modesty and sense of class.
So do we think the risk has paid off for Timoteo? Absolutely! If you love your briefs and don’t like the “openness” of a jockstrap or jockbrief, then this is a fantastic middle ground with great attributes from both cuts.
High quality fabric
Good front pouch support
Freedom and movement unlike traditional briefs
